Cupping therapy

Cupping is an ancient practice in Chinese medicine that involves creating local suction on the skin with glass cups. The suction is created using fire to create a vacuum of air inside the cup, which is then quickly applied to the skin. This increases blood circulation to the area treated and separates tight and constricted layers of body tissue.

Our approach to cupping

Joseph Tonzola recommends cupping therapy to eliminate toxins, invigorate qi, and relax the muscles. He often utilizes this therapeutic technique to alleviate muscular pain and tightness, but it is also effective for anything from digestive disorders to allergies. Often, this therapy is used during an acupuncture session.
